My Turkish Cookery Book – Survey; kindly request your feedback

Merhaba Dear All;

I am in the midst of planning a Turkish Cookery Book which will focus on the healthy, easy to make, delicious recipes of my homeland, Turkey and I need your kind help.

The book I am planning will be a collection of both recipes and my personal stories-  a tribute to my dear homeland –  with a special emphasis on the relatively unknown dishes of Southern Turkey, which will sit alongside some of the more traditional Turkish and Eastern Mediterranean classics.

I would be very grateful if you could fill in my survey with your honest, valuable feedback.  The survey will take less than a minute to complete and is completely anonymous.

Here’s the link to my Turkish Cookery Book Survey

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/K8WQM9J

As a thank you, if you leave your name and email address at the end of the survey, you will be entitled to a 10% discount when the book is published. I would be more than happy to send you a signed copy!

My sincere thanks in advance, Cok Tesekkurler,

Ozlem

Merhaba Ozlem, I just completed the survey and hope it helps you. I am very excited that you’re publishing a book.
I have one suggestion, I think it would be great to write recipes in both English and Turkish to satisfy both 🙂
    Looking forward to a copy.

As being a fellow countryman, I’m looking forward to obtain your cookbook; Antakya cuisine is the most refine kitchen of Turkey, by the inspiration and the mixture of the old Mesopotamia, and Arabic culture. At the end all these became harvested in the Turkish-Ottoman cuisine. Salute to excellence!

    • Ozlem Warren February 28, 2017 at 9:46 pm #

Merhaba dear Erhan, thank you so much for your kind note and I strongly agree; Antakya cuisine is such a rich blend and has an amazing culinary heritage, if I can spread a little bit of word on it, I would be delighted, will do my best! Cok Selamlar, Ozlem

merhaba ..love the idea…but so many times Ive bought middle eastern cook books and they arent kitchen tested recipes. and are just sitting on the on shelf .so if u do this…please try and retry and have others retry your recipes in a modern kitchen …also as a reader in the US please provide cup tablespoon measures next to metric and also no weird takes on traditional recipes…wish you much success

    • Ozlem Warren March 2, 2017 at 1:18 pm #

Merhaba dear Mariam, so kind of you, many thanks for your note and it is so true. Teaching Turkish cookery and publishing my recipes here now over 10 years, thought me the very same; the recipes need to be accurate, well tested and easy to make. My audience is global and I teach worldwide, so they will definitely have both US and European measurements. I will certainly do my best – I am very excited to share a very special part of my homeland, its cuisine as well as stories, thank you for your kind wishes.

I hope you have very good luck with your cookbook. I have visited Turkey twice and love the cuisine. I had a wonderful pomegranate flower juice or beverage at a restaurant near the Hagia Sofia and hope you can have something similar for your book.

Thank you for the recipes on your web site!

    • Ozlem Warren March 4, 2017 at 3:22 pm #

Merhaba Erin, thank you very much for your kind note and good wishes. I love pomegranate too and will certainly have recipes with pomegranate and pomegranate molasses, I will see if I can include the juice too, many thanks for the suggestion.
